2D Futurity

  • The Dash and Dance Futurity will be 2 Go-rounds and an average. Total time of the 2 rounds will determine the Championship standing. Futurity time can be rolled to the Open 4D to follow.
  • The Dash and Dance Barrel Futurity is open to horses that are 5 years old or younger. Horses must have not reached the age of six by the time of the futurity.
  • To be eligible for the Dash and Dance Barrel Futurity, the horse must never have competed in any barrel race, including AQHA shows, playdays, derbys, rodeos, etc. prior to Dec 1, 2018. To do so means forfeit of any and all fees paid and elimination from the futurity. Horses may have competed anywhere after Dec 1, 2018. Horses may have been entered in other events.
  • PAYMENTS -Nominations and sustaining fees payable to SL Productions:

$145.00 to sustain                       June 1  (postmarked by)

$145.00 to sustain                       July 1 (postmarked by)

$290.00 total fees

*Late entries will be accepted until the draw is posted online.  

  • LATE FEES -Any payments post marked after the due date will be figured LATE and assessed a late fee. Late fees will be $30 per payment missed in addition to any sustaining late fees still owed.
  • SCRAMBLE FEE – Nominations received after July 15th will incur an additional $100 scramble fee (Total futurity fees will be $450).
  • REFUNDS – SL Productions will refund any portion that is not due yet if nominated horse is injured/death minus a $20.00 processing fee. Vet affidavit is required for refund.
  • RIDER CHANGE: Rider changes allowed through the end of check-in. A fee of $20 will be assessed after July 1, 2019. It is the owner’s/rider’s responsibility to be sure that Dash and Dance Barrel Futurity has the correct rider listed. Horses must be ridden by the same rider throughout the event, however if injury is sustained an exception will be made. A doctor’s release must be submitted for consideration.
  • SUBSTITUTIONS – are allowed only due to injury/death of nominated horse. A veterinarian’s affidavit of proof must accompany substitution paperwork along with a $50.00 fee. Substitutions can only be made by the same rider and/or owner of the originally nominated horse.
  • OWNERSHIP CHANGE – Should nominated horse be sold during the payment period, written authorization must be received from the original owner before the horse can continue to be paid on. If authorization is not received, horse will be required to be re-nominated from the beginning.
  • CHECK IN – All futurity horses must be checked-in. Check in will be Friday, July 26th from 9:00 – 11:00 am or from 7:30 am-8:30am on Saturday, July 27th. Horses must be checked in and NUMBERED to run.
  • FUTURITY EXHIBITIONS – All futurity horses MUST BE CHECKED-IN AND NUMBERED to use their 2 futurity exhibitions.
  • Both futurity exhibitions will be run together on July 26th from 11:30pm-3:30pm! Horses must be numbered before running.  Futurity Exhibitions will be run in draw order and both exhibitions will be run back to back together ONLY ONE TIME THROUGH DRAW ORDER-NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Payback is $200 of each entry and 100% of the added money.
  • $8,000 guaranteed added to event.
  • Division of purse is 80% to the 1D and 20% to the 2D
  • 1D and 2D payouts will be 30 % to 1st Go & 2nd Go, and 40% to Average. All late fees and drop out fees will be retained by SL Productions/Sitnal Livestock, LLC.
  • The 2D will be figured on a full second split.
  • $5000 Future Fortunes Bonus Money Added to Event with No Additional Fees – payout will be disbursed directly from Future Fortunes.
  • $500 guaranteed added money for the Sitnal Livestock Incentive. Eligible Horses Include:
    • Horses sired by a Sitnal Livestock stallion (either living or deceased)
    • or any horse raised by Sitnal Livestock
    • or any horse with the Sitnal Livestock brand are eligible.

There is no entry fee for this incentive. Payout will be on the Futurity Average.  $250 for first place, $150 for 2nd place, and $50 for 3rd place.

  • Must be present for awards, awards will NOT be mailed out.
  • Full dress code is required to compete
  • 1st go draw order designates rake brakes and is reversed for 2nd go. Rake breaks will not change for the 2nd go.
  • A photocopy of the front and back of registration papers of registered horse or veterinarian’s affidavit of year of birth and complete physical description of the unregistered horse must accompany nominations. Entry will be considered late if this information does not accompany entry form.

 

2D Maturity/Derby

  • The Derby/ Maturity is open to any horse that is seven years of age and under, or any horse that has been 100% paid up in a previous Dash and Dance Barrel Futurity or Maturity.
  • Horses are not allowed to enter the futurity and the maturity in the same year.
  • Maturity may be carried over to the Open 4D each day.
  • There will be two go-rounds.
  • Entry Fees will be $150.00, of which $30.00 is an administration charge.
  • Payments on Maturity:
    -Nominations and sustaining fees payable to SL Productions:

$75.00 to sustain ——————– June 1 (postmarked by)

$75.00 to sustain ——————– July 1 (postmarked by)

$150.00 total fees

  • Futurity Rules & Regulations will apply to the Maturity where Dash and Dance Committee deems necessary.

2D Pole Bending Futurity

  • The Futurity is open to horses that are four or five years old. Horses must not have reached the age of six by the time of Futurity.  To be eligible for the Futurity, the horse must NEVER have competed in ANY pole bending, including AQHA shows, playdays, novice horse events, derbies, rodeos, etc. prior to December 1, 2018. To do so means forfeit of any and all fees paid and elimination from the futurity. However, horses may have competed anywhere after December 1, 2018.
  • There will be one go-round
  • $250 Guaranteed added money
  • $60 entry fee (includes 2 exhibitions) – pre-entries close on July 1st.  Late entries accepted until 12pm July 26th with $20 late fee and will run at the end.
  • 1.5 second split – progressive payout

Open 4D

  • $1,000 Guaranteed Added Money to Saturday and Sunday Races
  • SITNAL LIVESTOCK $1,000 Incentive – paid on the average of Saturday and Sunday for Horses sired by a Sitnal Livestock stallion (either living or deceased) or any horse raised by Sitnal Livestock or with the Sitnal Livestock brand are eligible
  • Prizes will be awarded on Saturday and Sunday (No Average Prizes)
  • Times can be carried from Futurity, Maturity or Youth by paying 4D entry fee
  • D’s are figured on ½ second splits
  • Must be present for awards
  • Full Dress Code
  • NO REFUNDS without a vet release or medical release
  • $15 Processing Fee retained by SL Productions for Vet and Medical Releases
  • Releases taken until 4:00 pm Friday and 12:00 Noon Saturday & 11:00 am on Sunday
  • No buyouts allowed
  • Mailed Pre-entries must be postmarked by July 15
  • LATE Entries taken the day of the race with a $10 per horse additional fee and will close at 4:00 pm Friday, 12:00 pm Saturday, and 11:00 am Sunday

Futurity and Senior Side Pots

  • Friday Night’s 4d will have a futurity sidepot
  • To be eligible for the Dash and Dance Barrel Futurity, the horse must never have competed in any barrel race, including AQHA shows, playdays, derbys, rodeos, etc. prior to Dec 1, 2018. To do so means forfeit of any and all fees paid and elimination from the futurity. Horses may have competed anywhere after Dec 1, 2018. Horses may have been entered in other events.
  • Futurity Sidepot will be paid as a 2D with full second splits
  • Senior Sidepot will be paid as a 2D with ½ second splits
  • Proof of Futurity Sidepot eligibility must be provided –
    • A photocopy of the front and back of registration papers of registered horse or veterinarian’s affidavit of year of birth and complete physical description of the unregistered horse must accompany nominations
  • No prizes will be awarded for sidepots
  • Must enter main race to enter sidepots

YOUTH RULES

  • $250 guaranteed added money to the youth
  • 3D Youth individuals ages 16 (as of January 1st) and under are eligible to enter the youth
  • D’s will be figured on full second splits
  • NO REFUNDS without a vet release or medical release
  • Vet/Medical Releases taken until 12:00 noon on Saturday
  • Youth may carry times from Open (must also pay entry fee for open)

PEEWEES

  • The pee wee barrel race will be on Saturday
  • Pee Wee Ages are 0-7
  • Prizes will be awarded

GENERAL RULES

  • It is recommended that you have all necessary paperwork to travel to SD (ex health/coggins).
  • Sportsmanship: Seven Down Arenas has a no-tolerance policy with respect to animal abuse of any kind at this event. Further, foul language, misconduct, or abusive comments spoken to any contestant, spectator, staff member, or volunteer will result in immediate contestant disqualification and no refund of any fees. Contestants are responsible for traveling companions and family members.
  • Dogs – All dogs must be on leash at all times. Clean-up after them. They are not allowed in the Seven Down Event Center.
  • All horses staying overnight at Seven Down Arenas must be stalled, not tie outs or pens allowed.
  • Seven Down Arenas, SL Productions and Sitnal Livestock, LLC is not responsible for personal injury, loss, theft or damage. Contestants and all accompanying parties participate at their own risk.
  • Any questions or disputes during the Dash and Dance Barrel Futurity not covered in rules will be determined by SL Productions, Seven Down Arenas and Sitnal Livestock, LLC. Seven Down Arenas and Sitnal Livestock, LLC assumes no liability to those who have not read the conditions and having not read these conditions they are still held to their contents.
